Let them eat carbon credits
From the Andrew Bolt Blog, March 4, 2009
The Brotherhood of St Laurence says the middle-class climate change extremists of GetUp! are hurting the poor. Hmm, where have we seen that kind of attitude before?
UPDATE
No, it’s not about science, but faith:
Over 60 religious leaders including Oceania bishops conference president, Bishop Peter Ingham, have written to Prime Minister Kevin Rudd to express their deep concerns with the Government’s “inadequate” response to climate change. The leaders made their statment ahead of the release of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme exposure draft legislation, an Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC) statement says.
There’s an Australian Religious Response to Climate Change? So I guess that means it is irreligious to be sceptical of the theory of man-made warming or of futile attempts to cut global temperatures.
But that’s no surprise. The fervently religious always were hostile to doubt and to questioning.
As it cools and there is less food, lets see where our priorities are.
