“HOT” POSNER

From the Tim Blair Blog, December 12, 2008

Constant ABC presence Rupert Posner takes a break from hanging by the pool in tropical Poland to chat with his local pals:

On ABC radio this morning he warns that he’s doing the interview without a jacket on this late evening because in warm Poznan “we’re starting to see the impact of climate change right away”.

Yeah. The place is boiling.

“This is the best spring break ever!” reports sweltering Posner

It’s almost as hot in Louisiana, Mississippi, Illinois, California, New Jersey, Washington, Texas, the Poconos and New York. Oh, and New Orleans.

Soon you will be able to sue oil companies for causing Global Warming?

By the blogowner, honestclimate, December 9, 2008

Goodness me, the world has gone mad, just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse..

People affected by worsening storms, heatwaves and floods could soon be able to sue the oil and power companies they blame for global warming, a leading climate expert has said.

Hmm, I don’t think suing oil and power companies or damaging coal plants is such a good idea whilst the climate is cooling. With 2008, the coldest year this century, we need to be able to be kept warm!

Does that mean that if the world continues to cool, we will be able to sue climate scientists?

Eat camels to protect environment, Aussies told

G'day mate!

G'day mate!

From Yahoo News, December 9, 2008

SYDNEY (AFP) – Australians were urged Tuesday to eat camels to stop them wreaking environmental havoc, just months after being told to save the world from climate change by consuming kangaroos.

A three-year study has found that Australia’s population of more than a million feral camels — the largest wild herd on earth — is out of control and damaging fragile desert ecosystems and water sources.

The Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre, which produced the report, plans to serve camel meat at a barbecue for senior public servants in Canberra on Wednesday to press its point.

Report co-author Professor Murray McGregor said a good way to bring down the number of camels was to eat them.

“Eat a camel today, I’ve done it,” he told the national AAP news agency.

Protesters brave bone-chilling cold in global warming rally

By the blogowner, honestclimate, December 8, 2008

Back in September I had a post titled: Why Global Warming protests should be held in Summer.

Tim Blair has reported on similar stories here and here

Tom Nelson reports today of a Toronto Global Warming rally held on Sunday whilst on the same day Toronto issued an extreme cold weather alert as frigid temperatures ripped through Toronto Sunday.

Read Tom Nelson’s post here

When will they learn not to have global warming protests in winter, especially when we’re experiencing the coldest year this century.  It’s just embarrassing!

First we had Carbon Neutral, now we have Water Neutral?

This product contains the dangerous pollutant Carbon Dioxide

Warning: This product contains the world's most dangerous pollutant, Carbon Dioxide

By the blogowner, honestclimate, December 5, 2008

There’s an amusing article in the UK Guardian, expressing their ire at Coca-Cola’s “Water Neutral” campaign.

Now I don’t know about you, but shouldn’t they be more concerned by the fact that Coca-Cola’s drinks are carbonated with…..Carbon Dioxide, the world’s most dangerous pollutant?!

No one wants to leave the house

From Watts Up with That?, December 2, 2008

Wind turbines and neighborhoods just don’t mix It seems. Would you want one of these to do this when a wind storm comes your way? Wind power has it’s pluses and minuses, just like any energy solution. But like a coal or nuclear power plant. They really shouldn’t be sited next to/within population areas. – Anthony

Wind turbine’s deadly ice shower

From the Peterborough UK Evening Telegraph

Residents were left fearing for their safety after shards of melting ice fell on homes and gardens from the blades of a giant wind turbine.

For about four hours people in King’s Dyke, Whittlesey, had to take cover as huge lumps – some two feet long – showered them from the 80 metre high tower on Saturday morning.

Resident Peter Randall, whose son’s house lies a stone’s throw away from the turbine, said: “Somebody is going to get killed. There was huge lumps of ice shooting off and landing everywhere.

“No one wants to leave the house because they are frightened and worried about the ice falling.

Man-Made Global Warming

Man-Made Global Warming

By the blogowner, honestclimate, December 1, 2008

Well, we’ve reached the end of another month and eagerly await the November temperature anomalies.

What surprises will the November GISS data hold? What convenient “oversights” will be found by bloggers this month?

With record cold and snow records set in November, how “hot” will the November GISS data be? What excuses will be made for the fraudulent data? How will errors be downplayed?

I eagerly await the November lies figures…
