Prince Charles launches climate change appeal in Chile whilst leaving a 322-tonne carbon footprint

The Prince wails again about climate change:

SANTIAGO (AFP) – Britain’s Prince Charles made an urgent appeal to raise awareness of climate change when visiting Chile’s capital during a Latin American tour.

“Facing these remarkable evidence of climate change, I’m afraid I must insist that if we want to leave our children a better world, we must act together, and we must act now,” the heir to the British throne said at dinner hosted by President Michelle Bachelet in his honor at La Moneda Palace late Monday.

But the prince’s trip has had some criticism in the British press, with the newspaper saying he was using a hired private Airbus jet to fly just 14 people on his visit, leaving a 322-tonne carbon footprint.
