Climate change more threatening than credit crisis: Greens
By the blogowner, honestclimate, October 13, 2008
The Greens have warned that ignoring the threat of climate change will send the world into an economic tailspin far greater than that of the global financial meltdown. Here’s what the Greens Leader Bob Brown has to say:
“I would say to Kevin Rudd, listen to the people of Australia,” he said.
“I think you’ll find more ecological wisdom in our average primary school than you’ll find round your Cabinet table.”
I’d have to agree with you there Mr Brown, school kids are smart as has been witnessed by the following blog set up by a 14 year old school girl: Kids against AGW.

Green denies tree murder
From the Andrew Bolt Blog, October 13, 2008
![]()
How we laughed:
THE wife of a convener of the Australian Conservation Foundation is being charged with the alleged removal of 150 trees on the couple’s Blue Mountains property.
But the convenor, Ross Tzannes, denies he or his wife are hypocrites:
Mr Tzannes, who isalso a lawyer and a former president of the Sydney Film Festival, said he and his wife were overseas when the contractor was working on the property.
Overseas? Did Tzannes at least offset that dangerously gassy travel? By planting, say, trees?
(Warning to readers wishing to comment: there is a court case pending. Tzannes and his wife deny the allegations.)

Extreme Weather Alert: Meteorologists predict intensely brisk autumn. Will it be blamed on global warming?
From the Gore Lied Blogspot, October 10, 2008
You’ve been warned:
“Cool air is streaming down from the North, pounding the entire eastern seaboard with intensely moderate weather…It’s whipping up severe 10 to 15 mile per hour breezes…Stay alert for elevated squirrel activity, and if you’re driving be aware of the danger posed by orangey rays of autumnal sunlight glinting off duck ponds – they can blind you…..”

Mobile phones to track carbon footprinty
By Alok Jha
From Gaurdian, September 29, 2008
Carbon Diem’s mobile phone carbon calculator
Keeping track of your carbon footprint could become as simple as slipping a mobile phone in your pocket: a London-based start-up company has developed software for mobile phones that uses global positioning satellites to work out automatically whether you are walking, driving or flying and then calculate your impact on the environment.
Carbon Diem’s inventors claim that, by using GPS to measure the speed and pattern of movement, their algorithm can identify the mode of transport being used. It can therefore calculate the amount of carbon dioxide that a journey has emitted into the atmosphere – without any need for input from the traveller.

Gore demonstrates he doesn’t understand basic meteorology, much less climate
From Watts Up with That?, October 5, 2008
Gore links Iowa floods and tornadoes to climate change, but makes a basic error on global temperature to evaporation linkage, plus he misses the real reason behind imagined tornado increases.
Former Vice President Al Gore, right, gives hearty greetings to John Davis, left, of Hamburg at the Iowa Democratic Party’s Jefferson Jackson Dinner, the state party’s annual fundraiser, at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines on Saturday night. Gore was guest speaker.
[Excerpt: In a recent article in the Des Moines Register, Al ] Gore attributed the historic floods that devastated Iowa in June to man-made emissions causing more water to evaporate from oceans, increasing average humidity worldwide. “In 66 of your 99 counties, the flood damage was truly historic.” Gore told the crowd of 1,000 Democratic donors. “No one has ever seen a flood like this.” Gore also blamed climate change for increased tornadoes, including the one that leveled much of Parkersburg earlier this year. “Yes, we’ve always had tornadoes in Iowa and in Tennessee,” he said. “But they’re coming more frequently and they’re stronger.”

What do you mean my farts cause global warming? The globe hasn't warmed since 1998. And they have the cheek to call us sheep stupid!
FART tax will save the planet?
From Gore Lied, October 5, 2008
New Zealand has a lot of sheep and cows. They belch and fart a lot. Massive carbon footprint that must be dealt with in this day and age to meet Kyoto goals. Fart tax is the answer. Farmers not happy. Read it all here.
Maybe they could just use a few million of these.
