THE nation’s leading climate change expert has again warned of dire weather events – but this time his predictions centre on western Sydney.

Headed by Chief Commissioner Professor Tim Flannery, the Climate Commission predicts mental health complaints will be worse during the predicted heat waves.

The commission said western suburbs were suffering from “an urban island heat effect” with concrete, buildings and asphalt raising temperatures by 1C to 2C.

For those who aren’t familiar with Professor Tim Flannery, he is a (well paid government funded) joke here in Australia. A few years back, he preached that global warming would cause permanent drought in Australia, “so even the rain that falls isn’t actually going to fill our dams and river systems …”. Since then we have had nothing but floods floods floods!

Based on Flannery’s past prediction failures, I suggest that if you live in Western Sydney, that you buy some warm clothes and invest in some serious heating!

Flannery “a (well paid government funded) joke here in Australia”?

Compared to energy industry funding, government funding is a joke – even in Australia let alone the USA.

And confusing ENSO fluctuation with greenhouse effect is abysmally ignorant.

And if Jo Nova is a sceptic, why the certainty?

Does this officially now mean that all the people living in the Northern Territory are mental cases.
Maybe Tim has forgotten to take his pills again or the doctors let him out too early, sigh….

Western Sydney isn’t that where all the shootings are happening. Rival biker gangs? On one comments someone said his company interests in Geothermal has gone broke and he’s wanting more money. But you are right Alphonse, Flim flam Flannery is his name.

The old averages again trick.
If aliens came to earth and wanted to know more about humans the first thing they’d learn is that humans only have nine fingers.
How come that’s because that’s what the stats show.
This averages for temperature is a joke and means nothing.
For a start when do you take an average, from 10 years ago, 30 years ago,
100 years ago, 1000 years ago.
I suppose it all depends on what you are trying to put a spin on and we know where Tim is coming from don’t we.

Hi Roberts, actually we have eight fingers and two thumbs. LOL
But don’t confuse poor Flam as he is dizzy from all the public attention.

The effects of Global Warming in Western Sidney could have gone one of two ways, either to drought or to flooding. Tim may have been wrong about the droughts but he is dead right about the impact of Warming. In this case it was flood not drought. Worse to come.

Absolutely. What a riot. Anyone can see that we humans have the right to destroy all that is green and sticky. (Sarcasm)
What’s with your website here guys? Got petrol in you veins or something?

Now you can refute what you want. But. If you want to have a one sided argument delete this post so the ignorance can stay so putridly pure.
